I'm Erin and I'm the farmer, dreamer and veggie-lover behind 38th Street Farm. What started as an experiment with sprouts a few years back has blossomed into a full-fledged microgreens operation - one that's tucked away in the most unlikely of places: my converted home office!

You could say I'm a little impatient when it comes to growing things. The quick turnaround of microgreens is what drew me to this unique form of urban farming. From seed to harvest, it's just over a week until I get to admire (and devour) those fresh, vibrant greens. For me, coaxing life out of those tiny seeds is nothing short of magical every time.

Each week I cultivate a rotating array of nutritious microgreen varieties like broccoli, peas, sunflower, and a spicy salad mix. But I also love experimenting with more unique crops like purple kohlrabi, radish, mustard, cilantro and beets. With my modest 10x10 grow room, I maximize every square inch to produce up to 80 trays at a time.

Beyond my love for the joyful process of growing microgreens, I'm driven by a passion for providing healthy, sustainable food directly to my community. Like 90% of American adults, I don't eat enough veggies in my diet. Microgreens have been a simple, tasty solution to rectifying that for both myself and my neighbors.

For me, 38th Street Farm is the perfect nexus of creativity, nutrition and human connection. I feel so grateful to be able to nourish people's bodies and souls (mine included!) with these tiny but powerful greens. From my micro-farm to your kitchen, nothing could make me happier.
